Pat Daugherty received a B.S. degree from Memphis State University and an M.Ed. from, the University of Missouri, Columbia. His entire thirty year tenure was spent at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia Mo as a science and technology teacher. He taught traditional science courses as well as developed and taught classes as Applied Physics, Aerospace Technology, and Bio-Technology. In 2001, Pat was asked to teach a two-week class to science teachers across Missouri on successful methodologies for teaching physics.

Pat has garnered a number of teaching accolades, but special significance is his work and experience with NASA education endeavors. He was selected a member of the team that worked with NASA and Wheeling University in the development of an interactive life science software program entitled BioBLAST. He participated in one of NASA's newest programs, a global change workshop held at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has received additional training at the Kennedy, Marshall and Johnson Space Flight Centers. His peers in the Missouri NASA Education Program should nickname him "Gibraltar" because he is rock solid in every aspect of NASA education.
