Museum Announces Spring Lineup of Workshops

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Feb. 1, 2010 -- The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus announces its lineup of free workshops to be held during the spring 2010 semester.

"We are offering a series of workshops that will stimulate visitors' interest in the arts and regional history," said Ellen Hahs, curator of education with the Museum.

The following workshops will be offered:

Feb. 2:  Gallery Tour "Exhibiting Excellence"
Feb. 9:  Introduction to Calligraphy
Feb. 16:  Going, Going, Gone-Historical Disappearances
Feb. 23:  Mapping the Land-Here to There
March 2:  Experimenting with Watercolor
March 9:  Caricatures-Historic or Familiar
March 23:  Matt Miller's artworks
March 30:  Gallery Tour "Ansel Adams: Masterworks"
April 6:  Story Telling
April 13:  Black and White Photography Tinting
April 20:  Mountains of Art and Geology
April 27:  Sketching Machines
May 4:  Weaving with Color
May 11:  Made in the Heartland
