One Hundred Forty-One New Members Inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 3, 2011 – The Southeast Missouri State University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society inducted 141 new members on April 17.
Those inducted were in the top 20 percent of their class during their first semester of college.
Phi Eta Sigma is a national scholarship honor society that recognizes high scholastic achievement during the first year of college and offers leadership and scholastic opportunities. The organization was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois. There now are 365 chapters throughout the United States. The Southeast Missouri State University chapter was established in 1984.
