Platinum Sports Founder Speaking at Southeast April 24by News Bureau on
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 16, 2012 – The founder and president of Platinum Sports and Entertainment Management will present Tales from the Field: Representing Athletes in Changing Times” when he speaks at 6 p.m. April 24 at Southeast Missouri State University.
Nick Brockmeyer’s presentation is sponsored by the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation and will be held in Glenn Auditorium of Dempster Hall.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Southeast, Brockmeyer developed his vision for Platinum Sports while attending law school. He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University, is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, and is a professor of sports law at multiple colleges and universities. In 2007, Brockmeyer was honored with the 40 Professionals under 40 Award from St. Charles Business Magazine, and in 2008, he was named one of St. Louis Business Journal’s Top 30 Professionals under 30. He is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and is an MLBPA certified agent.
