SNAP Offering Support Group for Parents of Children with Autism

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Sept. 21, 2012 -- The Support Network for Autism Parenting (SNAP) is offering a free networking group to support parents of children diagnosed with autism.
The group will meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 26, through Nov. 28 (no meeting Oct. 31 or Nov. 21), in the Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center, 611 N. Fountain St.
Dr. Victoria Moore, licensed clinical psychologist, will offer support to parents who come to discuss the joys and sometimes difficult moments of parenting a child with autism. Supervised activities will be provided for all children, including siblings, by Kari Colwell, board certified behavior analyst, and University student-volunteers.
