Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” to be Performed at River Campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 14, 2013 – Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” will be performed at 3 p.m. April 28 in the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” is the comic tale of a father who is trying to convince his daughter to give up drinking coffee. Scenes from Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” and “The Magic Flute,” and Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus” will also be performed. All scenes will be performed in English.
