During a special event at Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt discussed state funding for the Southeast Missouri Autism Project. The project stresses the importance of treating autism through an multidisciplinary approach using a variety of methods simultaneously. The treatment facility, located in Cape Girardeau, will utilize the expertise of Southeast Faculty and students to examine treatment possibilities for autistic children in the region.
