Why Southeast was my 1st choice: “In addition to Southeast, I was also accepted to the other journalism programs, but SEMO has equal accreditation. To me, as long as the qualifications are equal, so are the schools. Second, I was offered a Governor’s Scholarship to attend Southeast. My final decision was made, however, with a visit to campus. Upon setting foot here in Cape, I was immediately welcomed. It seemed as though I was actually wanted! A meeting in the journalism department sold me. I felt the people running the program were passionate about the subject and really did know what they were talking about.” Katie L. Krodinger from DeSoto, Missouri.
