Southeast Missouri State University

What forms do we need to file to be considered for all government and Southeast financial aid?

Parents_FAQ_Forms_2006

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine your eligibility for all federal aid programs, most state aid programs and many Southeast programs. (Some state and Southeast programs may require additional applications, essays, interviews, etc.)

You will need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during your student's senior year of high school and before the priority date of March 1. You can use estimated tax figures to meet this deadline. If you have filed all your forms on time, you should receive an answer to your aid application before May 1. Note that only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for federal and state financial aid.

However, if your son/daughter decides to attend college after the priority date, you still can complete the FAFSA and the possible awarding of funds will be based on dollars that still may be available.
