Photo from Move In Day

When can my son/daughter move into the residence hall and what can we expect on move-in day?

New freshmen typically can move into their residence hall on the Thursday prior to the start of classes on the Monday of the fall semester.  Specific dates are posted on the University’s master calendar.  New students will receive a packet from the Office of Residence Life outlining the specific details of move-in day including your time and location for check in.  Remember to wear cool, comfortable clothing.  You may be surprised at how quickly the move-in process is accomplished.

On move-in-day, you will be instructed to pull your vehicle into a loading/unloading zone near your student’s residence hall and within minutes, a cadre of student volunteers will emerge and will have your vehicle unloaded and the items moved into the residence hall room.
