Engineering Physics is an interdisciplinary program combining the study of Physics and Engineering into one curriculum. Students acquire a deep knowledge of physical and mathematical principles and learn how to apply this knowledge to meet the needs of society. The interdisciplinary nature of this program produces graduates who can work in many diverse fields and can easily adapt their skills to the needs of their employers.
The Computer Applications Option combines the core of Physics with the core of Computer Engineering.
The Electrical Applications Option combines the core of Physics with the core of Electrical Engineering.
The Mechanical Applications Option combines the core of Physics with the core of Mechanical Engineering.
Pre-engineering is a two-year non-degree program offered by the Department of Physics & Engineering Physics. Students will transfer to another university for an additional two years of study from which they will receive their engineering degree. The engineering curriculum is closely articulated with programs at the Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla).
