Phi Kappa Phi

Born to Read Book Project

Our signature activity for Phi Kappa Phi Chapter #260 is the Born to Read Book Project in which an early reader book is given to each newborn baby at Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Each book contains a message to the baby and family about the importance and enjoyment of reading and encourages the family members to read the book to the baby many times in order to plant the seed that will grow into a love a reading and learning.

Each year Chapter #260 has several book stampings during which we prepare the books for delivery to the hospitals. A book stamping has pizza, friends, and lots and lots of books! Please come and help! Announcements about book stampings will be sent via e-mail to the Phi Kappa Phi members.
