We will begin taking applications for Class 95 and Class 96 beginning September 14, 2015.
Class 95 will be a full-time, Monday though Friday class that begins January 11, 2016.
Class 96 will be a part-time class that begins January 12, 2016. The schedule for the part-time class will change this year. Students will attend on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and every other Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. NOTE - the part-time class will need a minimum of 20 students in order for it to happen. If we don't have 20 students signed up by mid-December, the class will NOT be held.
The Law Enforcement Academy at Southeast Missouri State University is dedicated to meeting the training needs of all law enforcement officers and agencies in the University service area. The Academy, a Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) approved provider, has provided basic and specialized training for more than 2,800 law enforcement officers since the Academy was established in 1987.
Our graduates have gone on to work for agencies at all levels of law enforcement including local, county, state and Federal, including the FBI, DEA, ATF and the U.S. Marshall's Service.

You can continue in the long-standing tradition of attending the academy as part of our certificate program or now, you can earn college credit towards your Bachelor's Degree by attending the academy as part of a four year degree program.
