We will begin accepting applications for Class 101 on Friday, September 7, 2018. Class 101 will be a full-time, Monday through Thursday academy that meets from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. NOTE - There will be weeks that training will occur Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well. Training begins January 7th, 2019 and will run for 20 weeks or a total of 800 hours. The Law Enforcement Academy at Southeast Missouri State University is dedicated to meeting the training needs of all law enforcement officers and agencies in the University service area. The Academy, a Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) approved provider, has provided basic and specialized training for more than 2,800 law enforcement officers since the Academy was established in 1987.
Our graduates have gone on to work for agencies at all levels of law enforcement including local, county, state and Federal, including the FBI, DEA, ATF and the U.S. Marshal's Service.

You can continue in the long-standing tradition of attending the academy as part of our certificate program or now, you can earn college credit towards your Bachelor's Degree by attending the academy as part of a four year degree program.
