This course is 4 hours and costs $25. It is included in the CEU Contract Program at no additional cost. It will be held in the Law Enforcement Academy classroom at 122 S. Ellis Street in Cape Girardeau.
This course addresses the psychology and importance of interviewing. It also discusses the importance of the interview environment, establishing rapport with the interviewee, formulating questions, and when to recognize when an interview becomes an interrogation, and what must be done when that occurs.

"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In Continuing Education Programs, which consist of discreet blocks of instruction, the student may receive continuing education credits for those blocks which are actually completed."
