Drug Investigations
This course is eight hours and costs $50. It is included in the CEU Contract Program at no additional cost. It is held at the Law Enforcement Academy at 122 S. Ellis Street, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Course Summary:
This class deals with identification of controlled substances, their manufacture and sale. This section also considers the use of informants, case management, tactics and report writing for conducting drug investigations. A practical exercise includes the use of surveillance, technical equipment and pre-exercise planning in conducting controlled buys.

Attendance Policy:
"Students attending Continuing Education programs sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Law Enforcement Academy must attend all of the regular blocks of instruction in order to receive a certificate of completion. In Continuing Education programs, which consist of discreet blocks of instruction, the student may receive continuing education credits for those blocks which are actually completed."
