Our group fitness classes have something for everyone! Whether you are starting to be active regularly or you are trying to increase your endurance, you can find a class you will enjoy. You may try Kickboxing and Cycle fit for a challenging workout day. You may try Yoga for a relaxing and rejuvenating workout day. We have two free preview weeks, so come out and try classes to find your favorite!

Fee

1 visit pass: $5; Semester pass: $40
*There is a no refund policy with fitness class passes/services and all sold passes/services are non-transferable.

To Register

Stop by the Recreation Services office located in the Student Recreation Center - North (Room 101) to purchase a Group Fitness Pass during the business hours. You may purchase a 1 visit pass at the Operation Center after business hours. Payment methods include university charge, check, cash, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).

Abs & Arms

A challenging 30-minute core class that also targets the upper body muscles – especially trouble areas!

Beach Body Boot Camp

Get ready for Spring break and summer with Beach Body Boot Camp! Transform your body with high intensity cardio, strength, core training, drills and more! New exercises each week will shock your muscles and boost your results. Great for all levels - be prepared to sweat!

Body Sculpt

This total body workout improves muscular strength, endurance, tone, and flexibility with various equipment such as BOSU Balance Trainer, Gliding, body bars, dumbbells, resistance tubing, med balls, and stability balls for a fun and varied toning workout!

Butts & Guts

A challenging 30-minute core class that also targets the lower body muscles – especially trouble areas such as the hips and thighs as well as the core!

Core Strength

This focused class will strengthen your abdominals and lower back muscles to create a strong and centered core. Strong core muscles are essential for daily physical movements and activities.

Cardio Blast and Abs

The ultimate calorie burn! Anything goes in this fun class of kickboxing, step, agility training and lots of fun! Finish up with strengthening your abdominals and creating a strong core.
Circuit Training

This class will get your heart and muscle working! A full body workout will be performed in stations to keep you moving.

Crunch-Less Abs

Tired of traditional crunches? Try this crunch-less class! Learn challenging new ways to strengthen all the muscles of your core and improve overall core stability.

Cycle Fit

In this indoor cycling fitness class, an instructor will guide you through imaginative terrains with invigorating music and visualization for 40 minutes. Whatever your fitness level may be, you can increase your strength and improve your overall fitness. Don’t forget to bring your towel and water bottle! This class is limited to 14 participants.

Instructors Choice

Want to try something new each time? Come to this class for the random pick of the week. Never get bored with the same workout and same equipment!

Kickboxing

This class uses punches, kicks, and muscle conditioning for an awesome cardio workout! This class may include cardio kickboxing combos, drills, stations, and shorter segments for toning, abs, and flexibility.

Lunch Express Series (Yoga, Pilates, Water Fitness, & Core Strength)

These classes are for busy people. In 30 minutes during lunch time, get your workout in, release some stress and feel better! Lunch Express Classes are free for Student, Faculty and Staff. For Lunch Express Water Fitness class, those without SRC membership must sign in at the Operation Center to access the facility.

Step N’ Sculpt

A complete cardio and toning workout combining a basic step workout with toning exercises using dumbbells, resistance tubing and body bars.

PILOXING

Come try the latest trend! PILOXING blends the muscle sculpting of standing Pilates, the strengthening and cardio of boxing and the fun of dance into a high energy interval workout.

Water Fitness

Are you ready for some fun in the water? Come enjoy our new aquatic complex in this class which will provide great cardiovascular and muscular conditioning. The water allows you to experience a total body, low impact workout. No swimming skills necessary.

Yoga

Come enjoy this 30- minute invigorating and rejuvenating workout and relaxation. Bring your friends and co-workers to refresh your body and mind. Please come in loose fitting clothing that allows movements. Additionally, please bring your own yoga mat (if available) and a belt/old tie that can be used as a strap.

Zumba

Add some spice and flare to your workout with Zumba! Zumba combines high-energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations. This latin-based group exercise class is fun and easy to do. No dance experience required!

Group Fitness Policies

·All participants must sign in PRIOR TO participating in class activities.
·Entry after the first 5 minutes or the warm-up segment is NOT RECOMMENDED.
·All participants must present a VALID GROUP FITNESS PASS to attend a group fitness class except Lunch Express classes.
·All participants must have a SRC membership to attend a group fitness class except Lunch Express classes.
·Lunch Express classes do not require participants to have a SRC membership or a valid Group Fitness pass. Those without a SRC membership, however, are REQUIRED TO sign in at the Operation Center to access the facility.
·Group Fitness Semester Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE and only valid for the current semester.
·Classes with TWO OR LESS PARTICIPANTS are subject to cancellation.
·Classes that get cancelled due to low attendance for three consecutive weeks will be removed from the schedule.

About Your Group Fitness Instructors

Our group fitness instructors are either certified with nationally recognized fitness organizations such as Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), American Council on Exercise (ACE), and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or in the process of obtaining a certification. Most of our group fitness instructors are Southeast students who are in exercise science or health promotion majors.

Saturday & Sunday: Noon - 7 p.m.

SAQ:
Monday - Friday: 5:30 - 7:30 a.m.; 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.; 4 - 7 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Noon - 5 p.m.

SRC-South:
Monday - Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

*All facilities will be closed May 26 & July 4.
