Southeast Missouri State University

The Redhawks Open Business Plan Competition is an exciting competition created to harness the entrepreneurial potential of the students at Southeast Missouri State University.

Eligibility

This competition allows you to compete on your own or with a team that you select. (Primary registrant must be a currently-enrolled student at Southeast Missouri State University.)

Guidelines and Process

Interested students/teams should register by 5:00pm on Friday, March 2 by completing the 2012 registration form below.

What's Next?

The business plan templateshould be completed and submitted by 5:00pm on Thursday, April 5.The following spreadsheets are used in concert with the business plan template.

All submissions will be judged individually by a panel of judges, and the results will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, April 25.

...and Start-Up Assistance
The winners of the competition will also receive valuable assistance in the form of a “Customized Launch Services Package” from the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. These packages could include personalized coaching, business incubation, and mentoring services, just to name a few.

Other resources and supportare available from the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. One possible path to success is to take advantage of the mentoring program that includes several activities at the Center:

  • The BIG Idea Competition (Fall Semester)

These activities provide students an opportunity to get expert feedback on their ideas and venture concepts throughout the development process.
