Dr. James Ermatinger is the former chair of the Department of History at Southeast Missouri State University. His written works include "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" and "Daily Life of Christians in Ancient Rome." He spoke with Going Public's Chris Schnell.

Ball Mill Resurgence is a large spring connected to Perry County's vast cave system and is essentially an enormous rock tumbler. Going Public's Jacob McCleland explored the spring with the Missouri Department of Conservation's natural history biologist, Bob Gillespie.
