Going Public for February 24, 2008

On February 7 the Cape Girardeau School Board unanimously chose Dr. Jim Welker as the District’s new superintendent. The decision means that the Cape Girardeau resident will become the superintendent of the same district that his children graduated from.

Dr. Welker is the current assistant superintendent of finance for Jackson R-2 Public Schools. On July 1, he will take over as superintendent of Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
