Going Public for March 16, 2008

Asthma is a concern for many parents here in Southeast Missouri. Southeast Missouri State University professor is taking steps to help parents learn how to better control the environmental triggers that cause asthmatic episodes. John Kraemer is the director of the Center for Environmental Analysis and he discusses the asthma prevention program.

The ice storms in February shut down roads, knocked off power, and cancelled classes throughout the Southeast Missouri region. In Cape Girardeau, it’s going to take some money to get it all cleaned up.

Southeast Public Radio’s Sherrie Ferrabee has a report.

Joey Haines has coached Southeast Missouri State University track and field for 26 years. He was won 10 Ohio Valley Championships and was once named national track and field coach of the year. At the conclusion of this season, he will retire.
