The Cape Girardeau chapter of the NAACP folded about eight years ago. Recently, community members have expressed in interest in bringing the organization back to town. Two of the leaders of Cape Girardeau’s resuscitated NAACP, Deborah Young and Minnie Saxton, join us to discuss goals and objectives for group.

We’ll also be joined by Jill Wicks of the Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative. We’ll talk about the “Local Businesses Going Green” program, and what you can do in your workplace to help reduce your carbon footprint. We’ll also name a few local businesses who are doing a few things here and there to be green.
