The Cape Girardeau City Council recently approved the formation of a new Girardeau Goes Green advisory board. The board will work with the city to devise strategies to be more energy efficient and use existing resources in a more sustainable manner. The petition for the advisory board was brought to the council by the Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative.

Jacob McCleland speaks with Cape Girardeau councilwoman Debra Tracy and Kathy Conway, a co-facilitator of the Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative.
