The Cape Girardeau City Council recently approved the formation of a new Girardeau Goes Green advisory board. The board will work with the city to devise strategies to be more energy efficient and use existing resources in a more sustainable manner. The petition for the advisory board was brought to the council by the Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative.
