Chris Wubbena is a sculpture professor at Southeast Missouri State University. Wubbena will be traveling to Vietnam with his father, Ed, and his mother, Carla, this week in order for his father to confront the demons that have been haunting him since he fought in the Vietnam War. At the conclusion of their travels, Chris will create a series of artwork which will represent their experiences in Vietnam. He spoke with KRCU's Jacob McCleland.

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri has a new executive director. Melissa Miller came back to Southeast Missouri after several years in the jolly position of director of the Spencer County Visitors Bureau in Santa Claus, Indiana. Melissa Miller spoke with Going Public’s Joel Rhodes.

Building a Home With My Husband is the new book by Rachel Simon. Forced with a poor housing market, Rachel and her husband, Hal, decide to renovate their old home. What followed were disagreements, delays, and disasters. In the book, home renovation becomes an allegory for re-evaluating and repairing relationships. The book is published by Dutton.
