Dr. Svitlana Kuzmina is a Fulbright-Scholar-In-Residence who will spend the next two semesters at Southeast Missouri State University. A professor at Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University in the Ukraine, Kuzmina will co-teach classes and conduct comparative education research. Kuzmina and Dr. Jean Benton, the director of International Programs for the College of Education, spoke with KRCU's Jacob McCleland.

Luis Hernandez is an early childhood education specialist who visited Southeast Missouri State University to give a presentation about the role that families play in educating their kids, the achievement gap among ethnic and racial groups, and the intellectual benefits of children speaking multiple languages.
