Located in the old Schultz School Building on Pacific Street, the Cape Girardeau Alternative Education Center helps middle, junior, and high school students who have had difficulties in class at Cape’s more traditional schools. This academic year, the school has added a new position, a Transition Coordinator.

Carla Fee is the Alternative Education Center’s director, and Darin Stageberg is Transition Coordinator for Cape Public Schools.

Terri Fisher-Reed is the Curriculum and Instruction Facilitator for the Jackson R-2 School District, and she is one of many who have helped spearhead the different plan.
