Recent flooding left enormous amounts of rural land in Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri under water. While infrastructure…such as roads, telephones service, and electricity…has been restored to towns, villages, and homes, wildlife habitats and agricultural land remain inaccessible.

Graphic novels have gained popularity in the United State over the past two decades and are now finding their way onto library shelves. A first cousin of the comic book, graphic novels are becoming a more influential facet of popular culture, often being converted into blockbuster movies.
