Missouri Department of Conservation officials warn that the prairie chicken could quickly become extinct in the state if something isn’t done to prevent it.  So employees are in Kansas capturing birds to bring back to Missouri.

The Sikeston City Council is considering a change to its indecent exposure codes. The amended code would include sagging pants. If your britches are worn so low that your underwear is exposed…that would be against city decency codes. Sikeston mayor Mike Marshall discusses the proposed change.

The conflict between Russia and the former Soviet state of Georgia has brought this small republic on the Black Sea to the world’s attention. Dr. Consantive Brancovan provides some historical context to the Russian-Georgian conflict -  and the ethnic groups at the center of the conflict. Dr. Brancovan is a visiting professor of history at the University of Missouri and a Russian history scholar. When not a visiting professor at Mizzou, Dr. Brancovan teaches at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
