Solar panels and wind mills are in … and golf carts are out in the Parkland. The Farmington City Council paved the way to make it a little easier to install solar panels and wind mills. Meanwhile, in the town of Desloge, the city council considered allowing golf carts on city streets to counter high gas prices. That one didn’t pass.

Renee Jean, assistant managing editor of St. Francois County's Daily Journal newspaper, explains these developments.
