Linda Vogelsang is a counselor at University Counseling Services. She dropped by the KRCU studios to talk about National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Throughout the week, the university will offer a variety of events to help dispel some of the misconceptions about these disorders, as well as educate people on how to help loved ones who keep the disorder a secret.

This year, the Sikeston Little Theatre will celebrate its 50th anniversary as a community theatre. Their next production will be Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” and it opens February 19. The theatre is going forward with the show, despite the ice storm that resulted in widespread power outages throughout much of the region … power outages that left the theatre behind schedule and many performers consumed with things other than acting.

Bill Eddleman, chair of the Department of Biology at Southeast Missouri State University, will discuss the past and future of birdlife in Southeast Missouri. Dr. Eddleman will give the Athenaeum Presentation on Wednesday at noon in Kent Library.
