May is Historic Preservation Month, and historian Steven Hoffman is actively involved in Cape Girardeau’s preservation efforts in the downtown region. He’ll discuss some of what will be going on throughout the month of May with Southeast Missouri State University historian Joel Rhodes.

The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra will head to China to perform at several prestigious venues, including the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and in Hangzhou. There will also be a collaborative performance with the Shanghai Normal University Orchestra and, weather permitting, an outdoor concert on the Great Wall. Jacob McCleland speaks with Dr. Sara Edgerton, artistic director of the Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra for more details about this exciting trip.

Among the many treaties that the Obama administration will negotiate are the Law of the Sea, the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. Jacob McCleland spoke with Don Kraus, CEO of Citizens for Global Solutions, about these topics and more when he visited St. Louis.
