Bootheel Man
Originally broadcast November 8, 2007

Morley Swingle’s new book, "Bootheel Man," is a sequal to "The Gold of Cape Girardeau."

The book tells the story of a courtroom battle pitting American Indians against a private museum over legal rights to the bones of “Bootheel Man,” a Native American who lived in Cahokia and Southeast Missouri.

The cover is original artwork by Gina Gray, an Osage Indian artist from Oklahoma who Mr. Swingle met while conducting research.

Morley Swingle and Gina Gray spoke with SEPR's Jacob McCleland.
