Illinois Inmate Confesses to Serial Rapes and Murders in Cape Girardeau

Timothy Krajcir confessed Monday to the 1977 murder of Brenda and Mary Parsh and Sheila Cole and the 1982 rapes and killings of Margie Call and Mildred Wallace.

Carbondale, Illinois police also connected Krajcir to the 1982 murder of Deborah Sheppard, a student at Southern Illinois University. Krajcir has been incarcerated continuously since 1983 in Pennsylvania and Illinois. He confessed to three additional murders outside of Missouri and Illinois and additional charges may be brought from other jurisdictions.

SEPR's Jacob McCleland spoke with Cape Girardeau's chief of police, Carl Kennison, about the investigation.
