The River Campus Art Gallery at Southeast Missouri State University will present the 2009 Faculty Exhibition, a showing of pieces created by the talented professional artists of the visual arts department. The content and subject matter in this exhibition is as varied as the material choices. Explored are the topics of identity through traditional and non-traditional portraiture, epic and evolving personal narratives, and current issues of race and gender. Other pieces address memory and transition.
The exhibition will be display October 26 through November 16. The gallery will host a reception from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, November 6 to view this diverse and accomplished collection. Both events are free and open to the public.
