New Madrid’s Annual Christmas Candlelight Tours and Open House will take place in historic New Madrid. Tours of all three of the town’s tourist sites are free during special event hours. The tour guides will be dressed in period clothing and will guide visitors through the Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site decorated with fragrant, live greenery and warmly lit with antique oil lamps. The Higgerson School Historic Site and the New Madrid Historical Museum will also be open for tours. Also included will be hot chocolate and caroling.
