Eligibility
Missouri Community College presidents in the Southeast Missouri State University service region may nominate two students. Contact your community college's financial aid office to determine your school's eligibility. This award may not be combined with the Community College or Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships. Nominees must meet the Community College Scholarship Criteria listed below.
Renewal
Renewable for a second year with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average in courses taken at Southeast and complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year at Southeast. Southeast summer hours taken in the same academic year may be used to meet renewal criteria.

Midwest Achievement Award (MAA)

The scholarship value is the difference between out-of-state incidental fees and 130 percent of in-state incidental fees. The 2012-2013 value is $3,490.80 for 30 credit hours. May be combined with the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.
Transfer Student Eligibility
- Transfer to Southeast from a regionally accredited college or university (two-year or four-year) with 24 or more transferable credit hours and a 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA; and
- Reside in a Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) state including Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin or in a neighboring state of Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Recipients will pay the in-state incidental fee rate plus 30 percent of that rate. The 2012-2013 value is $3,490.80 for 30 credit hours.
Transfer Student Eligibility
- Transfer to Southeast from a regionally accredited college or university (two-year or four-year) with 24 or more transferable credit hours and a 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA; and
- Be the child or grandchild of a Southeast graduate
