Southeast is pleased to offer numerous endowed and sponsored scholarships funded by friends of the University. Scholarship eligibility might be based on your residency, high school GPA, major or financial need as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). However, most of these scholarships have an application deadline of March 1st. Some scholarships may require a different application specific to the scholarship or have a different application deadline date. This will be indicated in the scholarship's description.
These scholarships are competitive awards granted for one academic year to the student who best meets all the criteria of the donor, as determined by the scholarship committee. To be considered for scholarships that require financial need, you must have your FAFSA processed no later than March 1. Unless otherwise noted, these scholarships require full-time Southeast enrollment during the award period. Provided the scholarship committees have completed the awarding process, Southeast will notify you of your endowed and sponsored scholarship eligibility during the month of May.
Endowed and sponsored scholarships, in combination with other University merit, athletic, performance, or need-based scholarships, cannot exceed your incidental and general fee charges. It may be necessary to replace one scholarship with a scholarship of higher value. Endowed and sponsored scholarships considered to be fee-paying will pay in-state incidental fees unless otherwise specified. Southeast may limit the number of credit hours a scholarship will pay for per semester.
