Student Involvement Scholarships

Missouri Leadership Award

(Missouri Residents Only)

Value

$500 to be applied to residence hall fees or $1000 when combined with President’s or President’s PLUS. This award may not be combined with a Governor’s or Regents’ Scholarship.

Eligibility

This is a competitive scholarship awarded to beginning freshmen with a record of student involvement and a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA in high school. Applicants must demonstrate a record of involvement in multiple activities during three or more years of high school. School and community-based activities should be included.

Renewal

Renewable each year up to a maximum of four consecutive academic years while living in on-campus housing. To renew, you must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average in courses taken at Southeast and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year at Southeast. Southeast summer hours taken in the same academic year may be used to meet renewal criteria. Calculate your GPA to determine if you need to enroll in summer classes.

Foundation Leadership Award

(Out-of-State Residents Only)

Value

$1000 to be applied to residence hall fees. This award may be combined with ONE of the following awards: Regional Achievement Award (RAA), University Scholarship or Midwest Student Exchange Program. This award may not be combined with a Governor’s or Regents’ Scholarship.

This is a competitive scholarship awarded to beginning freshmen with a record of student involvement and a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA in high school. Applicants must demonstrate a record of involvement in multiple activities during three or more years of high school. School and community-based activities should be included.

Missouri Boys/Girls State Citizen Awards

 

Value

$300 one-time award to be applied to general fees. This award may be combined with a Regents’, President’s, or President’s PLUS scholarship.

Eligibility

Students must have attended Missouri Boys State or Girls State, have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA and be a beginning freshmen at Southeast.
