If you are an out of state student who works, or whose parents work in Missouri and pay Missouri income tax, you may be eligible for the Missouri Income Tax Credit. All or a portion of the Missouri income tax paid may be used as a credit against the difference between in-state and out-of-state fees. Some scholarships awarded by Southeast cannot be combined with the Missouri Income Tax Credit. A Missouri Income Tax Credit Application is available from Student Financial Services or by clicking on the appropriate link below. If you would like more information on the Missouri Income Tax Credit, contact Student Financial Services at (573) 651-2253.
Any Missouri resident who is at least 65 years of age is eligible for an incidental fee waiver based on the University's Faculty/Staff policy.
Senior Citizens may enroll in University coursework at a reduced rate. Reduced rates apply only to the primary/incidental fee for all credit bearing courses and for non-credit courses if required for degree completion. General fees are waived. Miscellaneous fees associated with specific courses do not qualify for reduced rates.
Senior Citizens will be charged 10% of in-state fees for undergraduate courses and 30% of in-state fees for graduate hours rounded off to the nearest whole dollar. To obtain the waiver, the student must enroll in the course(s) and complete the Senior Citizen Application for Discount of Incidental Fees.
