Admissions Policies

Admission Requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Declaration of Major

Students must be admitted to the University and have begun attending classes.  They are then eligible to declare a major in social work.  The declaration of major does not constitute admission to the program.  Students complete the “Declaration of Major” form and are assigned an advisor within the Department of Social Work.  This form may be obtained from the department office.  Students with less than 45 hours are “declared” status and are officially "admitted to the program" after completing 45 credit hours and meeting GPA requirements.
