Instructor
Priscilla Hornby is a native of Tennessee. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas in 1976 and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1982.
Ms. Hornby is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Missouri and currently is an instructor and director of Field Education for the Department of Social Work. She teaches the social work course for non-majors, the course on diversity and the introductory social work course as well as the senior integrative seminar.
Before joining Southeast in the fall of 2004, Hornby was a medical social worker for 16 years and served as a field instructor in the medical setting for the Department of Social Work. She also taught courses, part-time, for the Department of Social Work at Southeast. Hornby moved to the Missouri Bootheel in 1985 from South Dakota where she practiced in child welfare and adult protective services, as well as in the mental health field with Native American and Hispanic populations.
