SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence - Cape Girardeau 69 Doctors' Park, Suite C, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703 The Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence is solely dedicated to caring for adult and child victims of sexual violence. Services are provided to child victims of sexual abuse and physical abuse; adults who are assaulted as adults; adults who were molested as children. The agency provides all services free of charge. The services include counseling, advocacy and forensic medical evaluations and interviews. The agency also provides outreach prevention education to over 8000 children per year in grades K-12. Trainings are also held each year for mandated reporters, law enforcement officers, child welfare and juvenile staff, and other human service personnel on issues related to child abuse treatment, prevention, and investigations. There is an emphasis on micro and mezzo practice levels with opportunities at the macro level such as community education and assisting with program planning. The field instructor is an MSW with many years of practice experience.
