Working on marketing and advertising campaigns for Anheuser-Busch, Sprint PCS, Miller Brewing Co., the St. Louis Blues and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Kim Jenne has quickly found success as an account supervisor for Schupp Co. in St. Louis. Joining the firm shortly after her graduation from Southeast in 1998, she now acts as a liaison between her company and her clients.
“Each day is a different day for me, but I am tasked with looking at the big marketing picture and identifying opportunities for my client,” she says. “My favorite aspect of my job includes the researching and planning on the front end of each project. I love getting into the head of the consumer.”
Claiming that she felt at home the first time she stepped onto the University’s campus during her senior year of high school, Jenne has never regretted her decision to attend Southeast. She thus credits a lot of her current success to her experiences in and out of the classroom.
Not only does she feel she was provided a solid foundation in communication theory and applications, she also relishes the extra-curricular activities in which she participated. With leadership roles on Panhellenic Council, All-University Judicial Board, Homecoming Steering Committee and Honors Council, Jenne was able to hone her other skills.
“[The activities] provided me with challenging experiences in adversity, creativity and problem solving,” states Jenne.
The same dedication to a multi-faceted live still prevails today as Jenne participates in the St. Louis alumnae chapter of Tri-Delta and is very active in her church in Webster Groves. Jenne also just completed a master’s degree in Media Communication from Webster University in March 2004.
Jenne advises students to take advantage of Southeast’s extra-curricular activities because the relationships and experiences from them will benefit a person throughout his or her life. They have definitely benefited her.
