SSS offers free one-on-one tutoring to SSS members. An SSS member seeking tutoring should go to UC 302 to fill out a tutorial request form. After the form is filled out, the Academic Specialist for SSS will try to match the student up with a tutor. A student should go to class for two weeks before requesting a tutor. The tutoring occurs in the CSI (Center for Student Involvement) located on the second floor of the UC.
The SSS computer lab is located in UC 211 and is equipped with six computers. The lab is open 10 AM to 7 PM Monday – Thursday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters and opened on demand during the Summer. Printing is free to SSS members.
All SSS students will be considered for supplemental grant aid for the Fall and Spring semester if they have met the requirements below. SSS does not offer anything known as a first-generation or beginning freshman scholarship.
College Success Seminars are intended to assist students with building and developing skills in both academic and personal enrichment categories. The seminars are offered both in person and online. Attending a seminar is part of the contact requirement for SSS students. When attending a seminar make sure you sign in and mark that you are an SSS student, this is how we know to give you credit for attending the workshop.
