Why Study Athletic Training?
- Southeast is one of only a few universities nation-wide to offer an Athletic Training Residential Learning Community for First-Year and transfer students.
- Southeast is one of only a few universities nation-wide to require a six-week Athletic Training-related internship affording a valuable experiential experience.
- The experience you will gain through the various clinical and internship opportunities offered in the athletic training program will allow you to expand your knowledge of the field, enhance your networking opportunities and provide you with the real-world experience needed in today’s competitive world.
- Southeast’s Athletic Training Education Program has been CAATE (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education) accredited since 1998.
- Students in Southeast’s Athletic Training Education program enjoy small classes and a low student-faculty ratio of 12:1.
- Southeast’s athletic training program has two full-time faculty members dedicated to our program. Many other institutions only offer one faculty position dedicated to the program, sometimes even requiring the faculty member to split responsibilities with other areas. Our faculty’s 100 percent dedication to the program guarantees you easy access to faculty when extra assistance is needed and also ensures attention is given to all athletic training accreditation guidelines.
