Facilities

The Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation is housed in the Parker Athletic and Physical Education Complex. The complex, which is named for Southeast’s ninth president, Dr. Walter Parker, opened in 1960. It features a full gymnasium, dance studio, gymnastics practice studio, and many meeting and class rooms. Parker also houses the Physical Education, Athletic Training Education Program and Dance programs, as well as the nationally ranked Women’s Gymnastics Program.  Parker also offers students an opportunity to develop skills in areas such as self-defense and martial arts.

Athletic Training students will further benefit from Parker Building’s dedicated teaching laboratory. The lab features exercise equipment as well as the latest equipment used for therapy and physical rehabilitation. You will also profit from working with additional rehabilitation equipment and facilities located in clinical settings at our affiliated sites.
