Students may elect to serve an internship for course credit.  A faculty coordinator works with the company and the student to achieve a valuable learning experience.

Child development students have held internships at health and human service agencies, resources and referral agencies and state departments of family and child services, including:

• Cape Safe House for Women
• Cape Girardeau County Division of Family Services
• Cottonwood Treatment Center
• Cape Area Family Resource Center
• Cape Girardeau Early Headstart Programs
