Internships

Students may elect to serve in an internship for course credit.  Students seeking internship experiences collaborate with a faculty coordinator and the supervisory company where the student will serve, thus creating a valuable learning experience for the intern.

Child development students have participated in internships at health and human service agencies, resource and referral agencies and state departments of family and child services, including:

  • Cape Safe House for Women
  • Cape Girardeau County Division of Family Services
  • Cottonwood Treatment Center
  • Cape Area Family Resource Center
