- Child Development option – The study of child development encompasses the human life span from conception through adolescence. The purpose of this program is to prepare individuals for education and service careers working with children, families and allied professionals.

Child Life Services (21 hours)
- This minor enables individuals to acquire specialized knowledge of the unique needs of children - birth through adolescence - in healthcare settings. A minor in child life services can complement and strengthen a number of majors, including:

Child Studies (18 hours)
- This minor enables individuals to gain a focused understanding of child development, strengthening skills in allied careers. (This minor is not applicable as a minor with the Bachelor of Science degree in Human Environmental Studies with Child Development option.)
