Computer Technology (A.A.S.) 69 hours
Students must elect to concentrate in one of the following options:
- Automated Manufacturing – This option provides you with the opportunity to develop the technical skills demanded in today’s manufacturing environment. Course work includes robotics, computer numerical control (CNC), manufacturing processes, solid modeling and rapid prototyping, programmable logic control (PLC) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Microcomputer Systems – This option is designed to prepare you to successfully enter and progress in technical and managerial positions related to design, manufacture and maintenance of electronic and computer equipment, industrial control systems and electrical power systems.
- Technical Computer Graphics – This option is designed to provide you with a background in the technical communications industry. This program prepares you for technical and managerial positions using skills such as computer aided drafting (CAD), desktop publishing, multimedia, photography, digital imaging and animation, graphic arts, video editing and production, and rapid prototyping.
§ All associate of applied science degree hours will count toward Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree requirements.
