• The dietetics program at Southeast provides a curriculum that meets the knowledge and skills established by The Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education.
• The program will prepare you for acceptance into post-baccalaureate educational programs.
• This program will prepare you to enter the work force in the expanding areas of food service management and/or nutrition-related careers.
• As a dietetics student, you will receive hands-on experience and provide community service by giving nutrition education to senior citizens, delivering Meals-on-Wheels, participating in health fairs, working in university food service or rotating through local hospitals working side-by-side with registered dietitians.
• Southeast’s dietetic internship program offers “real world” experience at various supervised practice sites located throughout southeast Missouri.  Experience at these sites will prepare you to be a registered dietitian.   
• Dietetics is the high-tech science of applying food and nutrition to health.  It’s a vital, growing field open to creativity and opportunity—and the possibilities are endless. 
• Southeast’s dietetics students reap the benefit of learning within a smaller environment with a low faculty-to-student ratio.
